Description:

Markon is seeking qualified candidates to fill a vacancy for a Graphics Specialist role within one of our Department of Defense customers in the Quantico, VA area.

Responsibilities:

• Create and edit visual materials while following graphic design principles (alignment, hierarchy, contrast, repetition, proximity, balance, color, negative space) and elements (line, shape, form, texture, space, imagery, typography, and color) using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator daily.
• Edit briefing slides in PowerPoint.
• Create forms using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
• Create content that includes routine-to-complex graphics, publication design and layout, infographics, forms, briefs, illustrations, posters, logos, photography, videos, and websites.
• Examine how designs are viewed by their customer to ensure messages are communicated clearly and accurately.
• Create designs that are artistically interesting and appealing.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers, designers, editors, supervisors, etc.
• Communicate with customers to establish the objective, design, and requirements of the project.
• Maintain contact with the customer about project progress and deadlines.
• Review products for quality control.
• Ability to work on several products concurrently while managing competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a project team environment.
• Other duties as required.

• 5-6 years of relevant experience and an active TS/SCI
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premier, Aftereffects, and web development is preferred.
• Experience with Photography and Videography is preferred.
