SUMMARY:


The Systems Engineer shall have Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) related experience in the area of facility and system design, network design, acquisition and logistics support, or change control. The SE shall have experience in internal and external network facility networking, wiring diagrams/schematics and cable plant configuration management and control. The SE shall have experience with cable fiber distribution systems. The Systems Engineer shall have experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft VISIO, as well as Microsoft Office.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned.

    The Systems Engineer will assist, and in some cases, lead the development of presentations to upper leadership that can quantify and convey risk, schedule, cost and be received easily.
  • Develop new site/lab activation requirements development including scoping the effort, developing plans/presentations, providing status updates and plan changes, generating installation drawings and documentation, participating in and developing content for design reviews, and tracking software changes until initial operating capability.
  • Working with different Procurement Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs) and Elements to coordinate delivery of equipment and track until equipment is delivered.
  • Deliver final versions to Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) (paper copy and all media files (AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.))
  • Support SCSC installation design package development.
  • Develop as-built detailed installation design packages.
  • Review new and as-built design packages.
  • Review final as-built design packages.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience

  • Must have a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • At least 4 years of U.S. Navy experience preferred.
  • The Systems Engineer must have experience supporting installation design package development.
  • The Systems Engineer must have experience developing as-built detailed installation packages, and reviewing new and final as-built design packages.

Coordinates, supervises, and/or manages support personnel.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:


Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTO are required. May require occasional travel.

Salary
$42/hourly
