C Technologies, Inc. Seeks an Instructional Designer II to support the Training and Human Capital Team

Summary:

C Technologies, Inc. is looking for an experienced and proficient Instructional Designer who is adept at transforming content into effective adult educational and training experiences.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will design/develop a wide range of training solutions using ISD methodologies and will be responsible for conducting a variety of learning and development analyses (e.g, Needs Analysis, Job/Task Analysis and Front-End Analysis).

Develops design plans for all formats of instructional delivery, which includes developing learning objectives determining learning strategies and content flow, determining testing/evaluation requirements and interactivity determining functionality and navigation strategies for electronic-based training, documenting minimum technical specifications (user and client), and planning the courseware functionality/course activities.

Additionally, an ISD II develops instructor/facilitator and student guides, scripts, storyboards to include content and theme; defines all media elements (graphics, animations, video, audio); explains programming (user interaction) requirements; writes narration scripts and plans music/sound effects; and confers/consults with client SMEs.

As part of the overall Training and Human Capital Team, the ISD II may assist with writing Technical Approaches for proposals, investigating and implementing emerging technologies, mentoring lower-level ISDs, and supporting Project Managers in the execution of project tasks.

Requirements:

* B.S. or B.A. required; M.A./M.E. or in Adult Learning Theory, Human Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Adult Education equivalent preferred
* 8+ years of progressive experience in a learning and development field
* 5+ years of experience with the design, development, and delivery of instructionally sound learning courses and programs, including online, instructor-led, and virtualexperiences
* 3+ years of experience with supporting learning technology projects
* Ability to apply learning design principles and adult learning theory to create instructionally sound course content and documentation, including design documents, storyboards, art style guides, and learning objectives
* Knowledge of learning games, game design, and gaming systems, including leaderboards, achievements, and micro-transactions
* Ability to work within a matrixed organization, reporting to and receiving tasking from multiple managers
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work requirements over a period of time
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to facilitate conversations and synthesize information
* Effective communication skills in the interaction with the client, project team, and senior management
* Experience creating and conducting Kirkpatrick Level I and Level II training evaluations
* Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
* Understanding of/Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), SCORM, and Section 508
* Ability to work with little to no supervision
* Understands scope concerns

Additional Requirement Preferences:

* Experience designing/developing training products for Federal Government audiences
* Experience working in a consultative environment
* Knowledge of the digital space, including information architecture, responsive design and development, mobile applications, digital marketing, Section 508 and accessibility, social media, and video
* Experience with and ability to facilitate training delivery
* Awareness of and capability to use courseware development authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora
