Skookum is seeking a skilled and productive Janitor with a professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Restroom Cleaning - sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floor. Follow cross contamination procedures.
• Office Cleaning - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
• Cleaning halls and high traffic areas - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
• Cleaning entrances and exits - sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry areas according to schedule.
• Trash - Empty trash in classrooms, office areas, restrooms, shower/locker rooms.
• Restocking supplies - restock supplies as required.
• Dusting - dusting in classroom/office areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, according to schedule.
• Cleaning stairwells - sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule.
• Cleaning showers - clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross contamination procedures.
• Maintaining Janitor closets - Keep clean and organized. Clean and rinse all equipment before storing.
• Wet/Dry mopping - wet/dry mop all areas according to schedule.
• Sweeping - sweep each area according to schedule.
• Wet/dry vacuum - operate wet/dry vacuum for each area according to schedule.
• Carpet spotting - spot clean heavily soiled carpet prior to shampooing.
• Carpet shampooing - operate industrial carpet cleaner to shampoo carpets according to schedule.
• Strip/wax floor - apply stripping solution either manually or with floor care equipment according to schedule. Reapply wax with floor care equipment according to schedule.
• Mix chemicals.
• Communicating with customers - always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work up to a 40-hour work week.
• Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

• Communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.
• Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers in a professional manner.
• Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Must be able to tell time and count work hours.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
