Responsible for the deployment, field support, and help desk support of the SecureView accredited cross domain software

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the operational maintenance, support and upgrades for operating systems, workstations and servers
  • Under minimal supervision, performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Acts as the SME for assessments and provides Tier 4 support for the SecureView implementation
  • Develops and executes test plans for hardware/software validation and performance analysis
  • Provides user familiarization training
  • Performs in-depth triage and investigation of issues
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines 
  • Develops installation, testing and other technical documentation and diagrams
  • Maintains infrastructure, including all hardware and software, for SecureView implementation
  • Supports customer calls

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Computer Engineering or a related field of study. With 5 years experience in performing IT deployments or service delivery in an end user/customer environment.

  • 2 years experience in working directly with and supporting end users in an IC environment. 
  • 2 years experience implementing and staffing IT deployment teams, operations, help desks and other customer support functions. 
  • 2 years experience with Linux/RHEL
  • 2 yearsexperience with Windows Server
  • Active Certification Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (i.e., CompTIA Security+ CE)
  • Must possess a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% to 25% for job related activities as required

Additional Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a working knowledge of MS Suite?Broad experience in computer and network systems security? 
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems? 
  • Experience coordinating with a small team to troubleshoot, debug and work end user issues to resolution. 
  • High level of motivation; self-starter; results driven? 
  • Experience independently working with and supporting end users an in an IC environment. 
  • Strong familiarity with cross-domain systems and / or virtualization?and VDI environments?(Citrix, VMWare)?preferred 
  • Experience deploying IT solutions software in DOD/IC facilities CONUS and OCONUS?preferred 
  • Able to design and implement both Linux and Windows systems and deployments 
  • Familiar with IC and DoD IT infrastructures? 
  • Knowledgeable of issues related to system installs in Intelligence community and DOD intelligence sites, including site sensitivities as well as highly demanding user and site managers.?(preferred)
  • Understanding of hypervisors including Xen, VMWare and Citrix
  • Strong understanding of security controls at a technical level (i.e.: NIST 8500, STIGs)
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Ability to lift between 10-100 lbs on an occasional basis
  • Experience in working directly with and supporting end users in an IC environment (preferred)
  • CISSP certification (preferred)
