Overview:

Field Security Technician (FST) (S)

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, maintains, repairs, and accounts for all technical/communication security equipment (e.g., closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), alarm systems, imminent danger notification systems, intrusion systems, access control systems, etc.).
  • Establishes and implements maintenance plans and inventory/accountability systems.
  • Assists with radio communication encryption.
  • Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of Blue Force Tracker.
  • Enforces communications SOPS and maintenance and accountability plans.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • US Passport and US Driver's License required
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of communications/electronics security equipment.
    • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of overseas of experience performing as a technical/communication security equipment technician.
  • Must be a certified electronics technician, either military or civilian.
  • Military discharge must be Honorable
  • Must be able to get and maintain a Secret Clearance.

We expect this position will be included in the recent federal Executive Order (EO) and subsequent guidance, requiring federal contractors and employers with more than 100 employees to implement a vaccine mandate; therefore, it is expected that anyone hired into this position will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencement of employment in accordance with the EO and any subsequent guidance, unless an accommodation is legally required.
