Job Brief

This 6 month temporary position will validate product designs. Coordinate and conduct product testing. Follow procedures, participate in safety reviews. Exercise safe work methods. Work in test lab, use test equipment and related infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Research Project Engineer, you will be the expert in validating product designs, coordinating and conducting product testings, following procedures and participating in safety reviews. You will be responsible for working in a test lab, using test equipment and related infrastructure. Other duties will include:

  • Understand and execute test plans. 
  • Perform product validation testing in a safe and efficient manner. 
  • Understand significance of outcomes of test reports. Comply with applicable regulatory standards. 
  • Responsible for contractors working in R&D lab areas. 
  • Produce test parts and/or work with manufacturing to produce samples in least disruptive manner. 
  • Train on work procedures and policies.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate Degree in an electrical discipline preferred.
  • Applicable experience in the explosives industry preferred.
  • 3 years in a technical field preferred.
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Tools. 
  • Attain and acquire all appropriate licenses and certifications required by federal state and town entities
  • Must meet the requirements for “Possessor of Explosives” as defined by the BATFE.
  • Must be able to travel domestically.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
