|The Raleigh, NC office of Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, one of the largest and most technologically advanced business law firms in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast, has an immediate opening for an experienced Creditors' Rights Paralegal to support members of its Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. The Group is focused on representation of financial institutions in enforcement of loan documents, foreclosure, collection and all aspects of civil and commercial litigation in state and federal courts and/or bankruptcy courts. |
Essential responsibilities, under the supervision of attorneys, include but are not limited to: preparing, filing and serving documents with state and federal courts; preparing drafts of legal documents such as summonses, complaints, motions, briefs, proofs of claim, and discovery related pleadings, for review, approval, and use by attorneys; assistance with judgment collection/enforcement efforts; and scheduling hearings with state and federal courts. Current work flow requires substantial assistance with judgment collection/enforcement, including asset research, exemptions procedures, writ procedures, and communications with debtors, other attorneys, and sheriff's departments.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily, with attention to detail, strong organizational skills and flexibility to work after hours. Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent client contact, communication and service are expected. Demonstrated ability to function in a team setting is expected. Punctuality and satisfactory attendance is imperative. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe required.
