  • Cvent is looking for a full-time college student to support our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Marketing division as well as support the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing staff. We are looking for a career driven individual that is ultimately looking for a full-time job in Marketing. The candidate must be able to learn quickly, think on their feet and take initiative to assist the Marketing team. This internship is a great way to gain experience in a fast-paced business environment with an extremely reputable company. Assuming the job is performed to the standards that are expected, Cvent will provide a letter of recommendation to future employers. This is a paid internship. We will complete any required documentation or paperwork to earn internship credit for school. We ask that candidate work 30-40 hours during the fall

    What You Will Be Doing

    Our marketing intern will assist our marketing associates on a variety of projects:

    • Support Marketing Team on meeting & event planning projects
    • Assist with Marketing collateral, administer travel packets & manage shipping of event materials
    • Review & process daily invoices and expenses
    • Assist with the coordination & execution of internal company events (i.e. charity drives, companywide and departmental initiatives, local onsite events, etc.)
    • Work hand in hand within the Marketing department to manage administrative operations
    • Specialized Tradeshow and Seminar projects and initiatives

    What You Need for this Position

    • Winter/Spring interns need to have the ability to work 30-40 hours per week
    • The ideal candidate will be proactive, driven and detail-oriented person who is interested in Event Planning & Marketing
    • Professional phone demeanor and proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint
    • Ability to drive or commute to Cvent's offices in McLean, VA
    • Prior office experience preferred (but not required)
    • Currently pursuing a degree (senior year)

    Supervision

    • Will sit with the Planning Team
    • Chat with supervisor daily/whenever necessary
    • Have weekly touch base meetings to go over current projects/challenges/etc
    • Have monthly 1:1s to evaluate her performance
