The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for:

    • Perform period-end financial close responsibilities including: Working with subsidiaries, trial balance reviews, journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, revaluation and translation.
    • Perform in-depth analysis of diverse finance and accounting data; ensuring all transactions are in compliance with current company policies & procedures, GAAP/IFRS, and regulatory/industry guidelines and requirements.
    • Conduct high level analysis of the general ledger account(s) with an emphasis on the substance of assigned balance sheet accounts; providing an essential contribution to month-, quarter-, and year-end closings of the general ledger account(s).
    • Assist in preparing consolidations, financial statements, forecasts, schedules, and other reports as required by management and auditors. Support financial audits.
    • Mentor other staff as applicable.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of multi-module SAP system experience is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience with a complex multi-national accounting environment managing the financial closing cycle, preparing and reporting consolidated financial statements.
  • IFRS/GAAP proficient.
  • Demonstrably effective organizational and inter-personal skills.
  • Demonstrably effective in engaging with employees and maintaining an open-door policy.

  • Prefer candidates with personal organization, sensitive toward consistently meeting changing and challenging deadlines, a creative problem-solver, in-tune with senior management's work product expectations, nimble, open to change, not afraid to challenge status quo.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Demonstrably effective communication and presentation skills.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Internal and commercial systems proficiency required for the position. Ex: Microsoft Office Suite, CostPoint, Project Management Systems
