Safely/professionally transport loads. Oversee move process & build/direct a balanced load utilizing best judgment. Ensure the operation of vehicles is safe in all conditions. Maintain public safety/meet Graebel standards for motor vehicle records & submission to the Safety/Operations departments.


  • Operate 100 series vehicles (i.e. pick-up trucks, utility vans, cube trucks, small and medium straight cargo trucks) with a gross weight rating of up to 7,000 lbs.
  • Operate 200 series vehicles (i.e. medium and large straight trucks which may be equipped with air brake systems) with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 10,000 lbs.
  • Operate 400 series vehicles (i.e. tractor trailer) with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 26,000 lbs.
  • Meets Federal Carrier Safety Regulations and Graebel Companies Safety and Driver standards as it applies to branch operations.
  • Obtains move related paperwork from appropriate Operations personnel in order to properly service the customer. Responsible for all required paperwork associated with moves and shipments, including submission.
  • Responsible for assigned vehicle in regards to cleaning and inspecting truck, tools, and equipment in order to preserve the vehicle according to company standards.
  • Oversees and/or assists with packing/unpacking, moving and loading/unloading of items to/from vehicle at move site and/or loading area. Ensures adequate protection throughout move site immediately upon arrival at move site.
  • Plans and builds a balanced load utilizing own judgment and discretion in coordinating placement of move items in order to avoid "lease overs" and permit for safe operation of loaded vehicle.
  • Acts as the contact person between the move crew and the customer.
  • Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.


  • Good verbal and written communication skills which can be gained with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Preference given for additional schooling/degree.
  • Qualified to drive 100/200/400 series vehicles and meet minimum experience for qualification as outlined by safety department
  • CDL class A certification
  • Ability to carry and properly load cargo to avoid damage
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to supervise loading/unloading crews
