To receive incoming phone calls, determine caller's needs, and refer callers to the person that can assist them. Greets customers, applicants and other visitors in order to promptly serve them. Directs "walk-in" job applications to appropriate website and on-line application process. Performs other nonessential job duties assigned by supervisor.


  • Receives incoming calls, determines the callers' needs and directs call to the appropriate department or person.
  • Greets customers, applicants and other visitors in order to assist them in anyway and present a good first impression.
  • Assists "walk-in" job applicants with the initial job application process.
  • Performs word processing/typing/data entry and other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Assists other departments (Commercial Services) with miscellaneous projects that are not time sensitive by undertaking designated clerical duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


  • Good verbal and written communication skills which can be gained with a high school education, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience with general office switchboard experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Polished communication skills
  • Ability to type 30-45 wpm
