Job Description

Building Maintenance Mechanics (Full time)

***$1,000.00 SIGNONBONUS ***

Falcons Landing is looking for experienced Building Maintenance Mechanics and Technicians to work in our Facilities department. The Building Maintenance Mechanic I Performs preventive maintenance, remedial maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, emergency systems, utilities, grounds, and auxiliary systems. Possesses the ability to assist or work independently to complete assigned daily task.

Falcons Landing is a Life Plan Retirement Community located west of Washington, DC in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia. We are a first-class Life Plan Community, privately held not-for-profit organization which provides an outstanding and caring work environment. Falcons Landing has a wonderful combination of residential homes, spacious apartments and three high class healthcare residences.

What you need:

For Mechanic/Technician I:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience as a Building Maintenance experience
  • Universal CFC, General Engineer Certificate, Building Maintenance Certificate.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC (residential &commercial), Low pressure boilers, hydronic heating loops, DDC Controls, and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays, on call shifts, and other shifts schedule for special projects and/or inclement weather.
  • Hotel, Hospital or Nursing home/Assisted living building Maintenance experience is a plus
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination - required

For Mechanic/Technician II:

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience as a Mechanic II
  • Universal CFC, Current HVAC Journeymen or Master License or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC (residential &commercial), Low pressure boilers, hydronic heating loops, DDC Controls, and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC service and troubleshooting experience (residential & commercial), Low pressure boilers, hydronic heating loops, DDC Controls, and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays, on call shifts, and other shifts schedule for special projects and/or inclement weather.
  • Hotel, Hospital or Nursing home/Assisted living building Maintenance experience is a plus
