Job Brief

This position is responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, preventive/ proactive maintenance within the five production departments for all equipment/machinery throughout within the Simsbury site.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible forrepairs, troubleshooting, preventive/proactive maintenance within the five production departments for all equipment/machinery throughout within the Simsbury site. You will be the expert in demonstratingand/or leading the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.Other duties will include:

  • Install and repair all equipment throughout the site.

  • Perform preventive maintenance in all categories of plumbing and mechanical to keep all production equipment operating efficiently

  • Identify and communicate problems with suggestions to implement alternative measures

  • Troubleshoot issues involving cams, gears, timing belts, lubrication, mechanical assembly, and pneumatics.

  • Work will involve machine installation, repair and overhaul, preventive, predictive, proactive and reactive maintenance.

  • Align with the Business Excellence, contribute to reducing waste and improving quality, productivity and safety performance within the assigned department

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of technical school

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of technical school

  • Basic requirements to be considered for the program (must have one or more of the following):

  • Prior experience as a mechanic in the armed forces (Documented by a DD214)
  • Prior experience as an equipment or industrial mechanic (Written letter from previous employer stating experience)
  • Vocational School training either in high school or technical institute with certificate
  • Prior experience as a HVAC tech, Plumber, Electrician, industrial motor shop technician, or machinist.
