Job Description:
The Silicon Valley Office of Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, has an immediate opening for an IP Litigation Secretary.
Duties will include:
  • Maintaining case files.
  • Maintaining calendars; scheduling meetings and conference rooms. Coordinating meals/refreshments for meetings.
  • Assisting attorneys with routing client bills for processing.
  • Preparation of word processing work including, but not limited to, briefs, pleadings, appeals, discovery requests, etc.
  • Proofreading of all work, including reading documents for content and context.
  • Answering and screening routine telephone calls per attorney instructions.
  • Opening mail, sorting, stamping and organizing.
  • Filing correspondence and legal documents according to the office filing system; coordinating with records management.
  • Filing documents with various courts.
  • Scheduling meetings and conference rooms. Coordinating meals/refreshments for meetings. Scheduling outside vendor services, such as court reporters and expert witnesses.
  • Researching and keeping apprised of requirements for different (relevant) courts and agencies.
  • Performing other duties required based upon the practice of attorneys, such as, but not limited to, administrative work, practice development initiatives, and committee projects and responsibilities.
  • Assisting with special projects as needed.




Job Requirements:
Strong technical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.
Understands deadlines and possesses a sense of urgency.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Demonstrates ability to communicate in a proficient, tactful, and confident manner.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Competently operates office equipment including computer, scanner, copier, and telephone system.
Minimum of five years related experience in a mid or large sized law firm.
