    Overview

    This position is with the Surety Programs Group (SPG), which supports government and private sector organizations ensuring the security, safety, and reliability of high consequence operations. SPG’s philosophy is to help our clients understand and mitigate mission risks spanning physical, cyber, and human domains. The Marketing Specialist will work as part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for systematically evaluating threats, vulnerabilities, performance, and cost-risk trades.

    Responsibilities
    • Lead the effort to develop a marketing plan.
    • Deliverables creation, market research, and social media presence management.
    • Coordinate with company Communications Director to provide marketing communications and materials.
    • Support program managers by utilizing technical editing, writing, and marketing and communications skills.
    • Assist by analyzing data, preparing reports and correspondence, coordinating travel and meeting arrangements, answering phones, filing, calendar management, and sorting and distributing mail in support of the day-to-day operations of the group and/or customer.
    • Serves as point of contact for the group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as eternal contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
    • Process travel and expense reports.
    • Plan and coordinate group social events.
    • Participates in special projects as required.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum two-year Associate’s Degree required
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting the production and development of marketing deliverables
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, and Power Point is essential
    • Exceptional editing and writing abilities
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills

    Desired

    • Two years of experience in an administrative support, administrative assistant, or executive assistant role
    • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in marketing or communication preferred
    • Graphic design experience preferred
    • Organization social media management skills preferred
    • Technical editing and writing certifications and experience preferred
    • Experience providing support to the Navy and/or the Marine Corps preferred
    • Active DOD Secret clearance preferred
