What you'll do

U.S. Insurance Solutions - Individual Disability Income (IDI) is looking for an experienced or entry level Software Engineer who will bring unique perspectives, insight, and innovation to our customers. You will be developing and maintaining front-end applications, back-end integrations, and vendor solutions, while using data to drive decisions and solutions.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) related field or equivalent work experience (6 years of experience equates to an Associate’s degree when defining “equivalent work experience”)
  • Experience with modern programming languages
  • The strongest candidates will have 1 years of development experience in a professional setting, but candidates with strong academic or internship experience will be considered

Additional preferred technical experience:

  • Fluent with the latest web technologies (Javascript/React/Angular/HTML5/Python)
  • Design and Development experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Rest-based services, and APIs
  • Experience developing data-driven systems using relational and NoSQL database technologies
  • Experience with development and deployment tools like git, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify and concepts around CI/CD
  • Experience or exposure to cloud platforms (we use Microsoft Azure)
