DescriptionThe Senior Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for providing a variety of accounting support and ERP system administration duties. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that the company's accounting records are current and accurate and that business is able to exploit the robust reporting capabilities of the newly implemented Costpoint-Deltek ERP system.

This individual must be ethical, responsible, and trustworthy, and able to pass a federal background check and a credit check.

Responsibilities/Requirements:
* Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
* Help ensure financial and accounting regulatory compliance to include SOX, DCAA and other
* Participate in monthly closing process to include financial statement review and preparation
* Prepare account trending and variance analysis
* Prepare journal entries to include basic accruals to complex adjustments and reclassifications
* Internal and external financial statement audit support
* Drive accurate project setup to leverage ERP project reporting capabilities
* Promote strong end user ERP data reporting comprehension
* Key role in development and maintenance of cost pool allocations and reporting
* Key role in indirect rate development, maintenance and reporting
* Key role in Costpoint - Deltek configuration and maintenance
* Key role in Cognos report writing
* Produce intercompany accounting entries and month-end consolidations as necessary
* Assist in budget preparation activities
* Assist in revenue recognition methodology
* Time and Expense administrative support as required
* Other duties as assigned
* Ability to work in a fast paced office with minimal direction
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
* Ability to integrate effectively into a dynamic team environment
RequirementsRequired:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline from a 4 year institution
* Minimum of ten years of accounting experience
* Full cycle G/L experience
* Strong government contracting experience
* Strong ERP configuration and maintenance experience
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files
* Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Possess effective verbal, listening, and communications skills
* Effective organizational and time management skills

Preferred:
* Masters level degree with a focus in accounting or related discipline
* Working knowledge of FAR and CAS principles
* Proficiency in recent versions of Costpoint - Deltek high usage modules
