Description

Convergence Technology Consulting is looking for a senior Applications Software Engineer to provide technical expertise in design, development, and deployment of SharePoint and other enterprise portal application software to join our team of qualified individuals. This position will be located in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing requirements for, designing, coding, testing, and documenting implementation of enterprise web application software.
  • Planning and supporting application integration and performance analysis.
  • Configuring applications to operate in a secure environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Position requires a current Top Secret clearance. In addition, individual must be able to pass a DHS background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of related experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a .NET developer in the hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications, including design, implementation, and debugging.
  • Experience developing SharePoint Solutions with an understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010.
  • Application development experience with Google Earth or ArcGIS maps.
  • Graphics-intensive GUI development experience.
  • Web development experience (HTML, CSS, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery).
  • Experience with SQL and noSQL database environments.
  • Experience with Windows OS, and shell scripting.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience with other web-based portal technologies such as Oracle WebLogic and Drupal.
  • Experience implementing GIS mashups.
  • Java EE web development experience.
  • Installing and configuring SharePoint farm servers.
  • Configuring SharePoint security, claims, and federated authentication.
  • Working with SQL Server and storage management.
