We are seeking MSEE, BSEE, BSEET professionals with 10+ years of experience in power distribution, mission critical power, lighting, grounding systems, system design, cost estimation, short circuit calculations, coordination studies and/or project management. It is an added plus if you have an EIT, experience in medium voltage design electrical equipment specs, telecommunications infrastructure or lighting protection systems. Design facilities infrastructure and power system controls for high profile federal, institutional and commercial customers. Develop design concepts, actual designs, and proposals. Follow projects from design to completion.

You should have the following skills and abilities: CADD, electrical calculation software, Excel, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, problem solving, supervising, and organizational. You must be eligible and able to pass a US government background investigation as a condition of employment.

Electrical Engineering - Completion of 3 or more of the following courses or its equivalent:

  • Introduction to Power Systems
  • Circuit Analysis
  • Control and Applications of Electric Machines
  • Power System Protection
  • Power System Protection Lab
  • Power System Operation & Control
  • Power System Planning
  • Electric Machines & Transients
  • Required Skills

    This position requires between 10+ years of experience in the design specification, integration, installation, testing and documentation of electrical systems, circuit design, government drawing standards and practices and the design of panel layouts and enclosures.

    Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • PE certification
  • Assisting in the preparation of technical documents such as requirements analysis, engineering plans, proposals and statements of work.
  • Performing site surveys to verify requirements.
  • Making line drawings (30, 60, 90 and 100 percent drawings).
  • Listing quantities and types of materials used.
  • Providing cost estimates.
  • Understanding product types and applications and grades of materials.
  • Ensure electrical equipment and materials meet specifications and the client’s budget.
  • Tracking budgeted hours to ensure project is completed on time and on budget.
  • Good supervisory skills

    Requirements

  • 10+ years of Electrical Engineering (Power) experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field
  • Attention to detail in completing work tasks.
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
  • Managing one's own time in order to meet deadlines.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
