Job Description:
Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Maintenance & Sustainment Radar Analyst as the M&S IPT focal point of contact for all matters concerning radar performance and oversee radar representations and radar model performance to ensure its consistency with model requirements. Interact regularly with MDNTB IPTs and staff members and provide support, documentation and assistance with presentation of requirements and analysis whenever needed. Work location is Crystal City, VA.
Required Skills:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Science, Math, Physics or related technical discipline and a minimum of 10+ years experience working and/or supporting radar technology.
- Must have strong, thorough, theoretical knowledge of radar design and performance and understand its capabilities and limitations including development, radar requirements or performance analysis using models and simulations and large scale system simulation verification and validation.
- Must also have a strong understanding of simulation of radars in large complex systems.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance (or higher) are required.
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree with emphasis or thesis area of radar technology highly desired.
- Working or theoretical knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts, Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems and the BMDS in general very helpful.
- Specific knowledge of one or more BMDS radars such as AN/TPY-2, Cobra Dane, UEWRs, GBR-P, SBX extremely helpful.
- Familiarity with BMDS SIM is highly preferred.
