* High school diploma or equivalency preferred. * Excellent communication skills. * Computer and typing skills required. * Former hospital departments/switchboards/or physician office experience preferred. * Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served. * Technical knowledge for trouble shooting preferred/training required. * Various communication software (paging/nursecall phone system). * Capable of working to prescribed hospital policies and procedures. * Satisfactorily completes on-the-job training. |
