Job Summary: The employee shall provide the Unity Health Care at Department of Corrections, comprehensive management and administrative nursing services as delineated by UHC. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, develops standards of care for nursing staff in relationship to District, Federal and/or correctional health policies in collaboration with the Health Administrator. Assists in implementing and monitoring of the standards established per defined process. Provides 24 hour nursing consultation to the nurse managers/coordinators. Coordinates nursing-related education to comply with department, institutional policies and procedures, and standards of practice. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing (CHC) in the implementation of such. Min. Req: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Masters preferred). Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience (preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care/ambulatory care. Licensed or eligibility as RN in DC.
