Position Description


The Director, Bank Retail and Operations Compensation is responsible for consulting with business leaders to design and develop compensation programs that motivate and retain top talent and ultimately drive business performance.

Job Description:

· Lead team of compensation analysts to drive compensation program design and development for Bank Operations and the Retail Distribution Network

· Work with senior business leaders to understand business drivers and translate these into pay programs that both meet business needs and align to overall corporate plans

· Provide ongoing compensation solutions that factor in business drivers and market context ensuring that salary structures, incentive and long-term compensation plans are aligned and provide a strong linkage between pay and performance

· Manage programs involving support for corporate pay platforms and line of business specific pay - establishing metrics and monitoring program effectiveness

· Collaborate across teams in Human Resources to ensure effective and compliant delivery of pay programs

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelors degree required
· 6 years experience of progressive compensation design and program management; experience managing the work of compensation analysts to deliver results

Preferred Qualifications:
· 8-10 years experience of progressive compensation design and program management; experience managing the work of compensation analysts to deliver results
· Masters Degree

· Specific experience in developing compensation programs in a Banking environment

· Understanding of business economics and ability to translate into programs that drive desired behaviors

· Superior technical knowledge of compensation programs and practices; experience in evaluating competitive landscape affecting reward practices

· Strong analytical skills and ability to structure technical work

· Exceptional consultative, analytical, and problem solving skills

· Demonstrated collaboration skills both inside and outside of HR, engaging stakeholders to achieve a common vision

· Program management experience with proven track record in delivering results; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

· Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

· CCP designation a plus
