Treasury Management Senior Director – Small Business Segment Leader

Summary:
Responsible for independently setting goals and strategies to achieve a competitive advantage within the Small Business Segment of the Treasury Management market and forecasting future needs, thus developing a deep understanding of the segment as related to competitor products. The leader will work closely with channel, segment and product partners to represent the small business view of the treasury management experience. The leader works with product management on the development and on-going maintenance (i.e. enhancements and modifications) of all products and services to maintain or enhance competitive positions for the small business segment. The responsibilities include planning, directing, organizing, controlling and implementing segment specific products and services commensurate with the objective of the business unit and Capital One.

Responsibilities:

Measure segment results, understand product dynamics, and ensure highest product quality and client experience.
Create additional product feature/functionality in order to maximize revenue and deposit opportunities in the segment.
Work with small business sales leaders in Treasury Management and other departments to develop marketing strategies that differentiate our product offering and Capital One in the competitive marketplace.
Foster cross-organization team building with internal stakeholders.
Responsible for setting Treasury Management’s strategic product delivery direction and ensure it aligns with the needs of the Small Business segment.
Be the subject matter expert for small business in Treasury Management.
Leverage relationships to gain buy-in for small business priorities and initiatives, and partner on execution to ensure mutual success, such as growing revenues from small business owners’ consumer banking needs.
Identify and target potential customers and/or markets for products.
Influence sales force regarding strategies, markets and customers.
Develop, implement and execute marketing plans and strategies.
Recommend new products or enhancements as changes are warranted or justified.
Develop long-term business plans for the segment within Treasury Management.
Evaluate business plans based on strategic goals.
Develop long-term goals for related product lines.
Communicate strategic plans.
Participate in industry conferences and seminars; keep abreast of changes, trends, etc. in the marketplace.
Conduct market research by investigating product enhancements by the competition by networking with peers at other institutions.
Anticipate product enhancements by competition.
Promote segment products and services to obtain support for cross-selling efforts.
Promote/market products throughout the bank.
Develop and enhance professional rapport with all areas of the bank.

Basic Qualifications:

4 year college degree.
5 years of product management experience, or 6 years experience in bank operations, preferably in a supervisor’s capacity, or 8 years of treasury/cash management industry related experience either within a Corporate Treasury or Non-credit services product management. .

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree in Marketing, Finance, or Management. Masters in Business Administration preferred.
Certified Treasury Professional designation
Accredited ACH Professional designation
