Position Description

Steppingstones Management Services, LLC (StepMS), Washington, DC, is a dynamic and rapidly growing company that provides one-on-one, and group tutoring services which meet the needs of students that require general and special support. In addition, we have on-going programs that are tailored to meet the needs and interests of various at-risk youth. Steppingstones (StepMS) has successfully served children of all ages, and has subsequently developed a reputation of professionalism and conscientious service.

Steppingstones Management Services, LLC is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant to learn and assist the President with day-to-day processes and procedures within the company. This opportunity is a permanent full-time position (40 hours/week) with an hourly wage of approximately $12/hr.

The perfect individual for this assignment will be very organized, and able to understand and be comfortable with the President not being as organized as they are.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Reviewing documents for accuracy
  • Serve as a point of contact to clients and contractors
  • Maintaining and initiating communication with parents and students
  • Providing suggestions and utilizing problem solving skills to improve service provision
  • General administrative tasks (typing, filing, task management, etc)

Ideal candidate for this position would have/be:

  • Completed at least 3 years of college and have previous administrative work experience (extensive experience will be considered for substitution of college education).

  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to create, learn and implement systems
  • Flexible
  • Responsive
  • Results-oriented and willing to take the initiative to achieve goals
