Position Description
Position Overview:
This new position will play a key role in our client's growth by leading proposal efforts. Use your strong proposal writing and management skills to develop and produce winning proposals. The right person for this role can think strategically, has solid experience with engineering/IT proposals and is comfortable attending to the tactical details.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design, develop and produce winning proposals
• Work with the Capture Manager to develop, incorporate and interpret win themes and discriminators into proposals.
• Work with Capture Manager to establish B&P funding requirements and be responsible for funding management and control.
• Review, analyze, develop and publish compliance matrices and outlines.
• Respond to Market Surveys and other requests for Information as deemed appropriate to strategically position the company for bids.
• Work with other companies to develop winning proposals as Prime and Sub.
• Checks the applicable Internet web sites or bulletin boards daily and downloads the RFP and related information, including any subsequent amendments, clarifications, and responses to bidder’s questions.
• Distributes amendments to RFPs in accordance with the original distribution.
• Schedules and conducts key checkpoint/review meetings, other meetings as required.
• At the development and production phases, controls the proposal, and is responsible for printing and assembling the books, including the covers, tabs, body of text, appendices, and electronic submittals (diskettes).
• Develops and manages web-based proposal sites to organize and maintain CM of RFP efforts.
• Tracks and responds to data call requirements.
• Ensures optimum communication across the proposal develop team and supporting actors.
Required experience/qualifications:
• 5+ years of proposal development experience with a federal government contractor
• Engineering/IT Services knowledge
• BA/BS
• Experience with task orders and multiyear procurement RFPs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred experience/qualifications:
• Success with FAA, NASA and/or DoD proposals
