Position Description

UNDERWRITER

Job Purpose:Perform underwriting analysis to properly assess rebuttal and resolution of repurchase requests and MI claim denials and rescission of coverage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Re-underwrited and assess effected loan files to determine conformity with repurchase demand and/or MI claim denials/rescissions of coverage.
Communicate reasonable rebuttals and resolutions that will assist with the proper management of loss severity.
Assist with the development of work-out resolutions.
Support manager with the proficient ability to provide meaningful data analysis on demand.
Other duties ass assigned by Management.

Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
Basic:

Bachelors degree or at least 3 years mortgage underwriting experience.
3 years mortgage underwriting experience.
