Position Description

SUMMARY

The Manager, Content Acquisition is responsible for the identification, collection/acquisition, integration, reporting and maintenance of various 3rd party data sources, primarily government data sources, for company product lines.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree from a respected institution with a degree in business or technology-related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years working in a software/Web development environment with hands on experience in data extraction, manipulation, reporting, etc.
• Excellent Microsoft Office, SQL Server, Internet/Web, and various other data extraction and manipulation software skills and techniques.
• Understanding of various development technologies including Java, .Net, and Cold Fusion.
• Ability to manage and mentor direct reports.
• Strong technical problem solving capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent attitude, willingness and ability to work with others.
• Strong desire and ability to learn quickly and continually improve processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Manage team of technical staff to integrate 3rd party data into INPUT’s data sets to add value to INPUT’s products including:
-Identification of 3rd party data sets valuable to INPUT and its members.
-Extraction of 3rd party data into usable, structured form.
-Integration of 3rd party data into INPUT’s databases to make it usable by INPUT members
-Implement creative ways of acquiring, improving and reporting the data to increase its value to INPUT and its members.
• Work with IT/Development staff to ensure smooth operation and integration of data while maintaining established quality control, coding and configuration management procedures.
• Proactively identify creative ways to leverage 3rd party data to improve INPUT’s products.
• Stay abreast of technologies and techniques for acquiring and integrating data sets. Identify, select and acquire technologies that continually improve our capabilities in leveraging 3rd party data sets.
• Effectively manage and develop existing staff.
• Any other tasks as assigned.

The Manager, Content Acquisition must be familiar and comply with INPUT standards, practices and procedures.

COMPENSATION RANGE
• Structure: Base Salary plus performance incentive
• Range: $75,000 - $100,000 and OTE of $80,500 - $115,000
