Construct and provide current HSTL IED training aids for EOD and NECC units for Home Station Training Lane exercises based on current real world intelligence and events. Research IED intelligence via SIPRNET. Liaison with Intelligence Specialists regarding current worldwide IED threats. Maintain accountability of HSTL training aid inventory. Monitor and distribute training aids and associated training materials to COMEODGRU ONE or NECC units.
Prepare and set-up EOD/IED scenarios at HSTL training areas during Field Training Exercises.
Exercise role playing for HSTL training events. Draft related correspondence. Provide material solution recommendations to EOD Tactics Tools and Procedures. Maintain the material condition and realism of HSTL ranges and facilities to make them ready for training.
Assist students and instructors in the operation of EOD robots and in the operation/installation of electronic countermeasure systems (if required, training would be provided by the government). Education/qualification/experience: Graduate of NAVSCOLEOD (CIN: A-431-001 or A-431-0012 or A-431-0014/A-431-0114). EOD Technician experience (5 years minimum). Graduate of Advanced Access and Disablement (CIN: A-431-0065) (preferred). Ability to interface with all levels of Command. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Successful candidates will possess excellent communication, written and oral skills; superior relationship and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be a team player with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently. CPR qualification required. EMT qualification preferred.
