Position Description
Serve as a functional HUMINT subject matter expert supporting US Central Command (USCENTCOM) as a member of a government/contractor team. Must possess formal training and knowledge of HUMINT, and Military Source Operations (MSO), as well as HUMINT collection, requirements, reports, and communications architectures. Develops plans and provides guidance, assistance and oversight on all HUMINT collection management functions, projects and activities. Focuses on issues pertaining to collection and production management, including doctrine, policy, practices, tactics, techniques and procedures; provides coordination with tactical, theater, and national level. Primary interface for HUMINT collection management issues. Manages Special Projects to provide HUMINT Operational guidance to subordinate units. Focuses on issues pertaining to collection and production management, including doctrine, policy, practices, tactics, techniques and procedures; provides coordination with tactical, theater, and national level. Reviews and monitors CI and HUMINT related message traffic. Plans, manages, and implements operational security measures for ASO and MSO operations in support of Task Force, subordinate commands, and SOF in the AOR. Works directly with human Source Handlers in support of tactical-to-strategic, theater-wide sensitive operations. Develops methodologies and procedures for Asset Validation, assists in maintaining Asset Validation databases used to track MSO network development and to archive/deconflict intelligence and operational reporting. Conduct other intelligence activities as assigned. This is a Liaison Officer (LNO)/imbedded mentor position which will require 1 to 2 deployments of approximately 120 - 180 day rotations to Afghanistan directly supporting US Joint Task Forces; when not deployed candidate will support operations at USCENTCOM located at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.
Must have formal HUMINT Case Officer training and experience. Completion of Field Tradecraft Course (FTC) or Advance Source Operations Course (ASOC), or Advanced Special Operations Training III (ASOT) course or the DIA Advanced Military Source Operations Course (AMSOC ) is required. Must have recent demonstrated experience in joint military CI/HUMINT operations and systems as appropriate.
Experience as a former HUMINT Operations Officer in the USCENTCOM area of operations is highly desired. Responsible for HUMINT analysis in support of USCENTCOM. Works directly with customers and team members to determine project scope and specifications. Provides research and analysis to support intelligence and SOF organizations. Supports development and analysis of asset validation products. Presents analysis or products to customers. May support policy and procedure development for agency, interagency, or community-wide support. Works on problems of diverse scope. May provide guidance and train others. Administers company or client policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to policies. Frequently interacts with outside customers and functional peer groups. Knowledge of intelligence mission applications (IMA).
