ManTech SRS Technologies is seeking a solid Engineer with a supportability engineering background to support a government acquisition Program Executive Office (PEO) comprised of a multi-disciplinary, integrated team of Government and contractor personnel executing multiple, complex projects. The Supportability Engineer will provide technical advisory support to Government project managers in the analysis of system sustainment/supportability concepts throughout the development and operational fielding phases. General responsibilities include:
* Assist in supportability engineering and logistics requirements development, evaluation and analysis efforts for integrated sensor technology acquisition and deployment solutions from concept development through retirement lifecycle phases.
* Provide technical advisory oversight to contracted system developers’ implementation of logistics and supportability plans and support the planning and execution of maintenance demonstrations, as required.
* Assist in maintenance task and life-cycle cost analyses, supportability objectives development, logistics/ operations/maintenance constraints identification, and develop supportability risk items and mitigation strategies.
* Conduct integrated logistics support analyses and strategy development of hardware/software upgrades to the fielded systems (Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) and integrate P3I strategies with Configuration Management processes and implementation.
* Develop and present briefings, reports and other program documentation for assigned technical areas.
* Prepare deployment strategies and provide technical inputs based on analyses of the stakeholder/end user training, operations, maintenance and support requirements.
* Provide key inputs relative to system sustainability issues for all major reviews and key technical interchange meetings as required.
This position requires understanding of key system lifecycle sustainment concepts. Candidate experience should include a subset of the following key elements related to system sustainment in the design through operational deployment phases: Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Sustainability (RAMS) concepts/analyses; Operations & Maintenance requirements development; Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, and System end user training development.
YOU MUST HAVE:
* Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field
* 5-7 years of direct, relevant engineering experience on a large-scale, complex system acquisition program and/or served as a technical representative of system sustainability issues on an Integrated Product Team role.
* Experience on a sensor system development program is strongly desired.
* Superior customer interface at senior levels of management and excellent oral and written communication skills are critical.
* Defense Acquisition University Acquisition training/certification strongly desired
* Position requires a Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility and a favorable background investigation conducted within the last five years.
* A current Customs and Border Protection or Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation is strongly desired.
