Required skills Must be in possession of a Master’s license or Journeyman’s license with equivalent master’s experience. Possess the knowledge and skills to effectively operate power tools and diagnostic equipment in a safe manner. Must possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to express ideas effectively and concisely. Willingness to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, as required.
Desired skills Prior overseas experience working in an operations and maintenance environment. Additional experience with carpentry, electrical, HVAC and general construction skills highly desired. Computer skills, a plus. Existing security clearance strongly desired.
Specific Job Description Duty is at an overseas location. Successful candidate will be responsible to perform master level work in all of the following categories: underground piping systems, excavating, laying out joints or supports, building piping, building equipment including but not limited to heaters, heat exchangers and components, controls, meters, valves, regulators and safety devices to properly control liquid and gas systems, pipe and tube joining and pipe welding. Maintain, repair, and install building plumbing systems, components, and fixtures. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings and schematics. Prepare and submit requisitions for materials purchase. Inspect and / or direct the inspection of electrical projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications and schedules. Respond to site emergencies as needed 24/7. Oversee subcontractor and local national personnel. Must be a team player and be willing to travel from site to site as requested by the customer. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Standard Job Description Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
Security Clearance Non-DoD Special Security Requirements
Typical Minimums Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
