MDA Federal is seeking a Geospatial Analyst

The Geospatial Analyst is responsible for satellite image processing. This position reports to the Director, Geospatial Intelligence Programs and works in a team environment on various geographic information systems (GIS) projects using state-of-the-art remote sensing and GIS technology to provide clients with a diverse array of products and analyses to help understand a wide range of environmental problems. This position is located in Rockville, MD.

Essential Job Functions

• Remote sensing interpretation of satellite imagery
• Perform GIS processing tasks on GIS data layers
• Edit GIS data layers
• Create map products from satellite imagery and GIS data layers
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of ArcInfo, ERDAS or PCI
• B.S. physical or earth sciences

Desired Qualifications

• 2-5 years professional experience
