Position Description

SRC is seeking a Senior Program Manager/ Senior Principal Scientist to perform a variety of tasks including technical, managerial, and business development.

Technical work includes
* Oversight and review of technical work products
* Analyzing hazards presented by chemical and biological warfare agents and related hazardous materials, and developing methods of mitigating such hazards
* Identifying, evaluating, and analyzing diverse types of data from multiple, potentially unrelated sources
* Managerial activities include overseeing financial, schedule, and technical performance on contracts and/or tasks
* Business development activities include identifying, cultivating and responding to business opportunities primarily in the chemical and biological defense area

Position Requirements

* Masters degree required, doctorate degree in biology, microbiology, genetics, or a related field preferred
* 10 years of experience in project management and as a principal investigator
* Three or more years of experience in business development
* Experience in the chemical and biological defense area with an extensive knowledge of programs and activities on-going in DoD, the intelligence community and/or homeland security areas
* Prior military service or service as a first responder in homeland defense is viewed as a positive

Resposibilities include
