Attending physicians are responsible for the care of patients in the Hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or Center Director. Must be full licensed and credentialed attending staff category physician on the medical staff of Children's National Medical Center. Familiarity with the principles of performance improvement, resource management, care coordination, safety, risk and regulatory affairs. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in primary field of practice. Additional training/education or an advanced degree in administrative medicine, public health, or the principles of adult learning preferred. Should be board certified in his/her primary discipline and sub-board certified in a subspecialty if relevant.
