What Will This Position Offer You?
You will have an opportunity to work with others on mission critical applications that will help keep this Nation safe in an environment that embraces industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of technical tasks or functions - to include maintaining the appropriate patch level and mitigating vulnerabilities, identified through DISA Gold Disk and Nessus Scans, of a mixed networked environment which contains Windows 2003 Server, Solaris 8 and 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and other Operating Systems. Participate in Engineering/Architecture discussions with a focus on either improving existing systems and/or the creation of new systems. Coordinate with other contract and subcontract personnel to ensure work moves smoothly from one functional area to another. Work with project manager and/or client to prepare work schedules and man-hour estimates. Maintain record of changes in instructions and ensures all team members are informed of changes. Respond to customer requests and questions. Assist with writing manuals and other documentation. Responsible for status and task management reports for area of responsibility. Responsible for mentoring of staff and providing recommendations on process improvement.

Education and Experience Required:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent
- Candidate must have knowledge of the tenants of software engineering, network engineering and familiarity with deployment challenges.
- Individual must be detail-oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have extensive background in installing, configuring, and administrating Unix, Linux operating systems including Sun Solaris and Red Hat.
- Must be familiar with WSUS, DISA Gold Disk, Microsoft Server 2003, Group Polices, and Active Directory.
- A minimum of 10 years of software development experience and/or systems engineering is required.
- Good team player and experience with the intelligence community, Microsoft Sharepoint, Oracle DB, BEA WebLogic Portal, and Documentum, are also advantageous.

Position requires: TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass DHS Suitability. U.S. citizenship required.
