We are seeking a seasoned, highly experienced and motivated individual to represent the company in the DC area. This position will assist, advise, and support the President and CEO headquartered in NY to integrate actions and strategies across the organizations four operating divisions. This position will work closely with product line business development personnel, helping to formulate and execute agreed upon business strategies. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in new initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, formulation of joint ventures, as well as the identification of new business opportunities and emerging technologies. This position will represent Telephonics in a variety of Government agencies such as the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corp and Coast Guard, as well as U.S. Government laboratories and R&D centers in the DC area.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MBA is preferred, with 10-15 years of directly related experience. Must have a technical background, with an emphasis on the aviation, radar, IFF and communications in order to deal with the advanced product lines that comprise our primary markets. Application of these technologies and products to the military and para-military missions of our customers is the key to success. Must have experience working with U.S. Government legislative activities including breakdown and analysis of annual defense budgets, the Congressional budget cycle and authorization and appropriations committee and subcommittee activities. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have a background that would permit the issuance of a Security clearance, which includes US citizenship.
