Project Utility Engineer

Person needs to be a graduate of an accredited engineering school with 5-10 years work experience. The candidate will require knowledge in anew and relocation utility design. Should have a working knowledge in the permitting process associated with getting proposed layouts approved. The types of utilities involved will include water, sanitary, electric, gas, telephone and other. Professional Engineer certification is desirable; otherwise registration is attainable within the next 1-2 years. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.

Other responsibilities for this position(s) may include the following:

• Work with clients and senior staff to assist in the successful completion of in-house design and/or field construction management/inspection projects.

• Assist the PROJECT MANAGER and/or the DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING OPERATIONS in tasks that include: 1) Preparation of contract drawings 2) Preparation for contract specifications 3) Calculations 4) Cost Estimates 5) Preparation of Reports 6) any other documents required by the contract.

• Other responsibilities include assisting the McKissack & McKissack Senior Managers and/or the business development staff in providing input for the preparation of proposal efforts for new projects
