The Lewin Group seeks Senior Managers in their Falls Church, Va location to support its consulting work with federal and state governments, foundations, and associations.
Senior Manager key responsibilities include:
  • Improve policy and expand knowledge of health care systems
  • Lead and evaluate programs to enhance delivery and financing of health care services
  • Ability to deal with changes in health care policies and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Experience managing and writing request for proposals
  • Assist with managing client relationships
  • Collect, summarize and analyze data
  • Help develop strategies for institutions, communities, governments, and people to make health care more effective.
  • Organize and supervise the work of others in the conduct of research or policy analysis
  • Assume significant levels of responsibility on a diverse range of projects
  • Manage several projects and clients simultaneously, and in doing so, must manage their time effectively.

Qualifications
  • A completed Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, business, economics or related field is required
  • 3 years of post-graduate, progressively responsible work experience in consulting or operational experience in health care and/or health policy research/analysis is required.
  • 5-8 years of progressively responsible work experience in health or human services policy research, consulting and/or in a service delivery environment
  • Experience with public programs (eg. Medicare, Medicad)
  • Experience organizing and supervising the work of others is required.
  • Experience at the Federal, state or service delivery level strongly desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with clients and other outside audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in quantitative program evaluation is desirable
  • The ability to work effectively independently or in teams.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative skills highly desired.
  • Direct experience managing client projects is a plus
