Required Skills

The Advertising Account Executive's job responsibilities include but are not limited to building and maintaining a customer base of local and regional advertising accounts.

  • Identify local and regional account prospects.
  • Manage local and regional accounts through all phases of the selling process, including identifying prospects, closing the sale, obtaining relevant artwork, and managing the client relationship.
  • Develop strategic proposals and presentations to acquire new accounts.
  • Meet monthly quota determined by Director of Advertising Sales.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure client retention.
  • Execute all relevant aspects of the Loudoun Independent Sales Plan.
  • Required Experience

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Advertising or related field;
  • 2-5 years of related work experience;
  • Relevant experience working in print media sales.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel). Must be able to operate a computer, calculator, typewriter, printer, photocopier machine, facsimile machine and other equipment as needed
  • Excellent addition to detail and the ability to work to deadline. Good analytical and reasoning ability.
