The SYSTEMS ENGINEER will support our Shirlington team who specialize in Engineering, Business and Financial Management, ILS, Program Management and Acquisition Support Services. Customers supported are NAVSEA (PEO Carriers, PMS 378, PMS 312, PMS 312E), USCG Deepwater.

Imagine One’s Shirlington Division has an opening for a SYSTEMS ENGINEER to support Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office for Aircraft Carriers (PEO Aircraft Carriers), Aircraft Carrier Program Office (PMS 312). PMS 312 is responsible for a broad range of services for new construction NIMITZ Class and in-service aircraft carriers and related programs. The Senior Engineer from Imagine One will primarily support the Ship Systems Manager, a Deputy Assistant Program Manager working for the In-Service Aircraft Carrier Assistant Program Manager within the Aircraft Carrier Program Office.

The SYSTEMS ENGINEER will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing acquisition, conversion, overhaul, modernization, repair, activation, deactivation, maintenance and logistic support and must possess the following requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Auxiliary, electrical and damage control shipboard systems (non-propulsion hull, mechanical and electrical (H, M & E) systems) knowledge and experience
• Understanding of the Navy Modernization Process
• Navy or Government experience in the following: acquisition, program management, and ship repair
• Experience as a shipboard manager in an Aircraft Carrier Engineering or Reactor Department and/or as a manager in a Navy Shipyard a plus

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at various levels both internally and externally and at varying
technical levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver on schedule
- Light travel may be required


EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
• Candidates who have relevant experience in lieu of required education may be considered

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• U.S. citizenship required. Must have active U.S. Government clearance or be eligible to obtain U.S. Government Clearance. Failure to obtain or transfer current U.S. Government Clearance could result in termination.

SALARY RANGE: Salary commensurate with specialized experience
