| Description: | Work on a variety of engineering projects, including ship and ship systems survivability, particularly recoverability and technology for automated recovery; damage control; fire protection and personnel protection including the design of related ship systems; fire risk assessments; and ship’s operating doctrine, software development and human systems integration related to the foregoing. Additional responsibilities may include supervising the work of other engineers and guiding the professional development of other engineers. | |||||
| Qualifications: | BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials or marine) or Science (e.g., physics, naval architecture) with at least 10 years of experience. Experience performing naval engineering in several of the foregoing areas is desired. | |||||
