Community Outreach to People with Disabilities

| These organizations are participating in our exclusive Community Outreach program. Through this program, groups and organizations that directly work with People with Disabilities receive open job notifications on a daily basis that match the criteria they specifically requested. These daily notifications (known as JobCasts™) can be customized by location, profession, education and experience. |
Academy of Hope The Academy of Hope provides educational empowerment to DC adults. We help students earn high school credentials, improve their math and reading skills, and learn how to use and apply computer technologies. |

Access Independence Staff members assist individuals with disabilities to understand and exercise their civil rights regarding employment, housing, transportation, accessibility, and other needed services. Staff members intervene with individuals, groups, agencies, organizations, and systems on issues related to an individual’s rights and needs.

Arc of Loudoun County (LARC) Since 1967, The Arc of Loudoun has been Loudoun County’s only advocacy organization dedicated to serving people with disabilities and their families. We advocate for and provide services to people with disabilities and their families by promoting individual support and equitable participation with their non-disabled peers in all aspects of community life, including education, residence, vocation, and healthcare. We work to secure the full range of human and civil rights for children and adults with disabilities.

Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped The mission of the Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped is to develop and support an environment for persons with disabilities which promotes vocational and employment training, independence, and community involvement through rehabilitation, recreation and low-vision services, and provides education for the prevention of blindness. |

Carter County Rehabilitation Center Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal and state-funded program providing services to help individuals with disabilities enter or return to employment. It is designed to assist individuals of work age with physical and/or mental disabilities compete successfully with others in earning a livelihood.

Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind - Staffing and Career Services Since 1900, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind has been dedicated to helping the blind or visually impaired population of the greater Washington region overcome the challenges of vision loss. Our work enables people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired to remain independent, active and productive in society. Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind’s (CLB) programs and services include training and consultation in assistive technology, employment marketing skills training, career placement services, comprehensive low vision care, and a wide range of counseling and rehabilitation services. |
