SUMMARY

The Foster Care Support Program Supervisor oversees the operations of the foster care support program

in Central Arizona under the direction of the Regional Director of Foster Care and Adoption. This

position supervises and monitors workers for compliance and best practice and ensures timeliness of

reports and intervenes in problem area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assigns cases to Foster Care Specialists in Rural Arizona.

Reviews cases on a regular basis for quality and ethical practice.

Evaluates and maintains records regarding the quality of job performance and service delivery of all

Foster Care Specialists.

Provides intervention to address substandard performance or service.

Provides leadership, supervision, training and action plans for Foster Care Specialists and Programs

Assistant.

Reports substandard performance to Regional Director of Foster Care and Adoption.

Intervenes in client emergency calls when Foster Care Specialists are not available.

Reviews and signs off on all renewal home studies prior to submittal.

Reviews all case closures prior to closure.

Collects demographic data on cases.

Monitors program for contract compliance in timeliness of reports and visits.

Provides training and clinical support to Foster Care Specialists.

Reports to the Regional Director of Foster Care and Adoption for supervision.

Assists in gathering information and data for annual performance audits

Ensures proper safe physical management techniques are followed at all times.

Assists other staff members with client's coverage during leave and emergency situations.

Acts as a supervisor in Quick Connect.

Attends HRT management meeting and District and State Program meetings.

Attends monthly KIDS meetings.

Attends DCS contract meetings for Southwest and Central districts.

Attends Native Communities Program meetings.

Maintains Native Communities Program census and distributes as necessary.

Ensures Native Communities Client Monthly Reports are sent to TSS case managers timely.

Ensures all Incident Reports are sent to appropriate parties within the required timeframe.

Represents HRT at state recruitment meetings and activities, KIDS recruitment activities, and

community activities involving recruitment opportunities.

Seeks ways to raise public awareness of HRT's FCSP.

Coordinates ongoing retention activities for the FCSP.

Assists in the hiring process for new team members as needed.

Acts as a positive role model and mentor for staff and families.

Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.

Participates in Site and /or Company community events as required.

Facilitate weekly group and at minimum, monthly, individual supervision.

Train and oversee Licensing Workers in accordance with the Office of Licensing Rules and

Regulations.

Manage caseload size and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and timely.

Complete required shadowing of staff and provide staff with feedback concerning their work.

Carry a caseload as necessary.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field and two years' experience with child

welfare, human services and/or foster care licensing or Bachelors' Degree in Social Work, Human

Services or related field and four years' experience with child welfare, human services and/or foster

care licensing.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Minimum age requirement is 21 per contract.

Must meet the requirements to be a safe transporter and driver.

Must possess a current Arizona State Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record for the

past three (3) years.

Must have personal vehicle liability insurance and vehicle registration as required.

Must be able to pass a CPS Clearance with no substantiated reports.

When required, the ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and if requested

a physical exam.

Strong knowledge of overall company operations and policies and procedures.

Strong knowledge of the Arizona Foster Care licensing rules and regulations.
