Main position objectives

This position is to monitor objectives and make sure deliverables are met in time with customer needs. The position's main objective is to make sure we are getting the best price for the product with not only effective communication with the customer but also effective communication with all the departments throughout.

Position description - Tasks, responsibilities, competencies

• Monitors milestone/ timeline dates for spare parts to ensure customer delivery date is met by communicating with aftermarket, engineering, and manufacturing departments for open points.
• Monitors Backlog/Open orders report for status and delivery of components
• Monitors OTD and implement improvement.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Vendor Base ensuring timely accurate delivery with accurate pricing.
• Vendor Negotiations as needed.
• Manage On-time Delivery Requirements by monitoring delivery and expediting parts and components.
• Issuing of Purchase Orders as required
• Familiar with purchasing business aspects (RFP's, quotes, vendor sourcing, etc...). International experience is a benefit.
• Develop and assist in administering strategies to achieve performance objectives relating to quality, cost and materials availability.
• Cost reduction strategies, aggressive negotiator, change agent. Out of the box, forward thinker.
• Experience in raw materials, metal fabrication, electrical components, and industrial spend categories.
• Project management purchasing a benefit.

• High school diploma or equivalent with three years of experience in the field.
• Technical training or certification is a plus

• 2 years of procurement or Similar Position
• Strong aptitude and working knowledge in MRP system(s), preferably Syteling/CSI.
