A day in the life of a All Hazards SME:
An All Hazards SME you will be primarily responsible for functioning as the operational SME for the application, areas of improvement, and policy influences for the All-Hazards managed service.

* Act as the main expert on the All-Hazards service, identifying areas for improvement and influencing policies.
* Conduct ongoing gap analyses comparing government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions with current and future emergency management needs.
* Serve as the main contact between the business unit, various services, interagency partners, and other key stakeholders.
* Evaluate different COTS and GOTS providers to consider adding them to our service portfolio.
* Provide expert support for operations and work with Sales and Business Development teams to understand customer needs and assist with demos.
* Use your broad expertise, and some knowledge of related fields, to collaborate with other divisions and companies.

Are passionate about providing innovative Public Safety Solutions to a variety of agencies and stakeholders through the All Hazards approach.

You will apply both your technical and operational knowledge to help deliver projects by providing your services for a variety of clients in the Public Safety industry.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent applicable experience.
  • 8-10+ years experience working in Public Safety (Fire, EMS, Police) environments.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites.
  • Must be familiar with the five mission areas and associated core capabilities.
  • Ability to apply extensive expertise as a specialist in Emergency Management
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems that require extensive originality, ingenuity and independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally.
  • Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
  • Comfortable working with multiple software and hardware platforms.
  • Ability to work directly with customers in solving hardware/software problems.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance.
Required Level of Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen and reside in the State of Hawaii for consideration.
