Job Description

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a part time (1x12 hour shifts/week) day/night rotation shift RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Prior NICU RN experience is strongly desired. Days and shifts will vary.

Inova Alexandria Hospital (IAH) offers a newly renovated, 16-bed, Level III NICU. Newborns who are premature or have special needs are well care for around the clock in out centered NICU by specially trained, board-certified neonatologists as well as specialized nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and nutritionists.

Job requirements

A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Strongly prefer 1 year or more of NICU experience.

Education:

BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

  • If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required from American Heart Association (AHA)

RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
