The Outreach & Marketing Representative Senior job serves as a liaison and resource to all potential referral sources to VCUHS with the intent of increasing business referrals. The Outreach & Marketing Representative Senior implements marketing strategies that increase revenue, referral base and promote department's corporate brand. This job interprets changes in the marketplace and generates ideas to carry out marketing initiatives that increase our market share. Performs market research, monitors customer service, assesses the market and evaluates departments' program and operating units. This job is responsible for public relations with referring physicians, hospital staff and other "customers" of VCUHS. This position tracks all activities and insures contribution to ROI.
The Outreach & Marketing Representative Senior is responsible for developing and fostering relationships with physicians and staff in network and new markets to increase referral growth, improve relations, remove service barriers and offer educational information for referral sources based on the needs and profile of a practice. This job initiates relationships and conducts outreach activities and customer service/network development service recovery calls to physicians and their staff. This job also supports VCU Health Care System Physicians and VCUHS Department Administrators/Leaders in promoting MCVP physicians and services to physicians both within Richmond and the entire Commonwealth of Virginia and in outlying areas.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) years of account management and/or business development experience
Minimum of two (2) years of marketing experience Previous professional level work experience in a healthcare organization
Experience PREFERRED:
Previous work experience specifically in healthcare marketing and market research
Five (5) years previous experience in healthcare sales
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or a Healthcare related field
Education/training PREFERRED:
Masters Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or a Healthcare related field

Maximizes physician utilization of hospital services through enhanced customer service ethic.
Serves as point of contact for community physicians.

Updates and maintains information in outreach departmental database.
Investigates and problem solves.
Reports issues weekly and results monthly.
Participates in development/revision of departmental policies, procedures and other materials.
Maintains statistical data, call reports and conflict resolution documentation.
This documentation is provided to the Department Director monthly for review.
Assists with training or outreach support team including physician support representatives.
