Under limited supervision of the Chief Deputy of the Circuit Court, serves as the manager of all information technology systems and activities for the Circuit Court. Responsible for understanding the vision, mission, goals & objectives set by the Circuit Court leadership. Responsible for the development of the Circuit Court IT strategic plan and tactical plan.
Manages complex information technology projects and systems that also impact multiple county agencies and external users. These Circuit Court systems and databases include, but are not limited to, the Court's Land Records, the Public Access Information accessible at the Circuit Court and via its internet portal, the Case Management System, the Jury Management System, the Imaging Systems, the E-filing systems, and the Financial Systems. Ensures that the work performed will be in compliance with the County and State IT technical standards as applicable. Keeps abreast of new technologies and participates in short and long-range planning of IT systems for the Circuit Court. Manages contracts, oversees the integration of software/hardware components into the system. Assures effective equipment and software use and preventive maintenance.
Provides technical expertise and implements policies and procedures. Supervises the IT Division staff and external information technology staff as relevant to Circuit Court IT systems, equipment, and services. Prepares and provides assistance with HR/Performance Evaluations for staff. Prepares budget. Develops specifications for requests for proposals and manages contracts. Serves as the Court's representative in multi-agency and countywide information technology efforts, as well as with outside agencies and private sector groups as applicable and as approved by the Circuit Court leadership.
Salary: The salary offered will not exceed the midpoint ($131,222.42) of the advertised range. Promotional rules apply for current Fairfax County Government and FCPS employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, or closely related field; plus five years' experience in systems design, development, and maintenance in a large information systems environment, including supervisory experience.
